Restoring hope and dignity in Mukono since 2009
Our Story
Type your paragraph hereThe Power in Small Things is a Faith Based Community Organization established 15 years ago in Mukono. The organization was founded with a vision to demonstrate that even the smallest acts of kindness can transform lives and restore dignity within communities.
Since its establishment, The Power in Small Things has dedicated its efforts to supporting vulnerable members of society, particularly persons with disabilities and elderly citizens. Through various community outreach initiatives, the organization provides essential support items, including wheelchairs, mattresses, crutches, and food, to individuals and families in need. These resources help improve mobility, comfort, and overall quality of life for people living with disabilities.
Beyond material support, the organization places a strong emphasis on restoring hope and dignity. Many families with children with disabilities face emotional, social, and economic challenges. The Power in Small Things works closely with these families to offer encouragement, inclusion, and community support, helping parents and children regain confidence and feel valued within society.
The organization also focuses on supporting elderly citizens, recognizing their important role in society and the need to treat them with respect and dignity. Through community engagement and targeted assistance, The Power in Small Things strives to ensure that older persons are not neglected but are instead appreciated, cared for, and empowered to live with dignity.
For over a decade and a half, The Power in Small Things has continued to demonstrate that meaningful change often begins with simple acts of compassion. By addressing the needs of the disabled and the elderly, the organization remains committed to building a more inclusive, caring, and supportive community in Mukono and beyond.
